THE CHALLENGE:

88.6%* of rangers surveyed across Africa had faced a life-threatening situation.

Of those surveyed, 40% were not covered by health insurance, 50% had no life insurance and 60% had no long-term disability insurance.

OUR RESPONSE:

Through RangerProtect, the Game Rangers' Association of Africa, in partnership with SATIB, provides accidental death, disability and medical evacuation cover to more than 6,000 rangers across Africa.

In addition, the GRAA trains rangers in remote-area first aid and provides first aid kits to help improve their safety in the field.
